Livable Luxury
Photography: Stylish Productions
This project was for a busy family of 6 who rebuilt a new Dutch colonial style home on their existing lot. The clients wanted the interior to feel modern and comfortable. Our design and furniture selections focused on durability and practicality, ensuring that every piece of furniture could withstand the hustle and bustle of family life and be easily cleaned while also looking stylish.
The larger new family room seats up to nine with two custom ottomans. The leather cocktail ottoman in front of the sofa serves as a table for food and drinks and also a comfortable foot rest.
The dining room isn’t just a place to eat; it transforms into a homework and craft area. The black carved armoire on the side of the room hides the supplies. Above the wainscotting, we installed a gallery of family created artwork.
The office space features a mid-century modern glass desk with a sleek desk chair and stained wood storage cabinets on each side. The client had a portrait from medical school, and we though it would look perfect behind the desk framed with a larger matte.
This home was featured in the Northern Virginia Magazine.
